Curriculum Development / To enhance students’ Chinese language proficiency / To employ 1 or 2 teaching assistant(s) to prepare and design teaching materials concerning Chinese Language, Chinese Literature and Putonghua and to launch various language-related activities. /
  1. Chinese language teacher will have more time to prepare and introduce the project-based learning in. S1 andS3 as well as the new C.E. syllabus .
  2. All Chinese language teachers will have more time to prepare and launch the new syllabus of Chinese language as well as the Chinese Literature.
  3. Students’ language proficiency (including Chinese language and Putonghua) will be enhanced.
/ From September 2005 onwards for 11 months. / Salary for 1 teaching assistantfor 12 Months ($11,000 per month) plus 5%MPF for 12 months,

  2. Students’ participation in various competitions including the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival;
  3. Students’ incentive to learn Chinese Language, Chinese Literature and Putonghua;

  1. University Degree Holder (major in Chinese Language or related subjects);

    the Certificate holder of the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi(普通話水平測試) conducted by Guojia Yuyan Wenzi Gongzuo Weiyuanhui(國家語言文字工作委員會)
    OR
    the Certificate holder of the Putonghua Language Proficiency Training Courses or equivalent;
  3. experience in choral speech training.

  1. to prepare and design teaching materials concerning Chinese Language, Chinese Literature and Putonghua;
  2. to assist Chinese language teachers to launch the project-based learning;

Special Duties in different periods

  1. to teach the Putonghua tutorial class for S.1 students;
    (1 class each week)
  2. to train students participating the choral speech competition(Chinese section);
  3. to train those students participated the solo verse speaking or solo prose speaking(Putonghua section).
    (3 training sessions each week).

    (2 groups per week, every group consists 15 pupils);
