HOLIDAY HOMEWORK

CLASS- VII

Dear Parents

Vacation is a welcome break! Let’s utilize this golden period in the best possible manner. Please

guide, motivate and facilitate your children to complete their Holidays H.W on their own.

ENGLISH

  1. Read the famous book Charlie and the chocolate factory by Roald Dahl.
  • Write a short summary of the story (75 words) and name the main characters.
  • Choose 10 interesting adverbs from the book and find their dictionary meanings.
  • Find one synonym and one antonym for all the 10 words.
  • Make meaningful sentences using 10 words.
  • Present your work creatively.

NOTE: MAKE SEPARATE NOTEBOOK FOR ENGLISH HOLIDAY HOMEWORK.

  1. Make a display card of A4 size:

a)Use an A4 size pastel size sheet of green, yellow or light blue colour.

b)Paste the picture of any one of the following authors- RabindraNath Tagore, Ruskin Bond, O Henry and William Shakespeare. Below it provide the following information about the author-

  • Date of Birth
  • Popular work
  • Awards received

Laminate the card and present beautifully.

  1. Write 1 page of your holiday homework notebook every day in cursive handwriting.

MATHEMATICS

  1. PROJECT WORK: Perimeter and area
  2. Complete the Mental Math exercise from CH-1 to 4.
  3. Revise all the chapter done in class.

SCIENCE

  1. Paste pictures of 10 food items which we get from plants. Where does the food in these items come from? Explain.
  2. Collect specimens of plants which cannot prepare food like Cuscuta and Mushroom. Study them carefully. Make a project by pasting the pictures.
  3. Revise all the classwork done in notebook.
  4. List any 4 digestive disorders in humans and make a project on any one describing its causes, symptoms, methods of preventions and ways in which it spreads. Paste pictures also.

SOCIAL SCIENCE

1.Collect symbols & leaflets of different political parties of India & paste them in your Social Science note book.

2.Prepare a project file on the topic “civil rights movements around the world”.

3.Read the following chapters and prepare 10 MCQ from each chapter [task-2]:

[a] The Delhi sultanate

[b] Our changing Earth

[c] Functions of state government

COMPUTER

Make a project on the topics “Google Map” and “ Google Drive” in computer activity notebook. (Minimum 4 pages per topic)

ART

1. File Cover with orange chart paper

2. Make a pen stand with your own creativity

3. Make a craft with tissue paper
