The Young Performers Showcase began in 1998 as an opportunity for children to
perform before an audience and to encourage their participation in the instrumental
arts. Excelling in the instrumental arts requires patience, discipline, and confidence.
The 2014 showcase featured over 140 young performers. This competitive and
non-competitive showcase welcomes all styles of music, with children performing
on all types of instruments. All performers will receive a participation ribbon.
Performers in the competitive divisions will receive first, second, third, and
honorable mention awards. These awards will be based on skill, presentation and
entertainment value of the performance.

*Judges' evaluation comments given to all performers
