Presents the 3rd annual

The men of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity are proud to introduce the 3nd annual PIKE Dream Girl Competition (PDGC). The title of a PIKE Dream Girl is one of honor and is reserved for women who not only are beautiful but, more importantly, inculcate values becoming of a mature and successful woman: integrity, intelligence, involvement, and sincerity. Nationally, the men of Pi Kappa Alpha proudly show their appreciation for women who live by the same high ideals by which our brotherhood lives by selecting one individual and crowning her a PIKE Dream Girl.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be registered and a full-time student at the University of Arizona
  • Must be a returning student to the University of Arizona for the 2012-2013 School Year
  • May not have been a previous Top 12 contestant in any previous Pike Dream Girl Competition

Duties expected of a Pike Dream Girl:

  • Represent the Gamma Delta Chapter enthusiastically through personal values and involvement
  • Attend both social and non-social Pike events
  • Assist, contribute to and give opinion of future Pi Kappa Alpha new member recruitment
  • Continually assist brothers of Gamma Delta Chapter to be better men and always hold a high standard of values

Dream Girl Process:

  • The process includes three main stages: an application, interview and question and answer session. Finalist will be chosen on the basis of both academic and general achievements, public speaking and personality, university and sorority involvement, character, values and service within the community. The Pike Dream Girl represents the highest qualities of our fraternity’s ideals and values and represents them through her dedication and activity within the above-mentioned areas.

Dream Girl Incentives:

  • If selected for the top 48 by the PDGC, you will receive a complimentary bowling night on Thursday, March 22, 2012(date subject to change)
  • If selected for the top 24 by the PDGC, you will receive a catered dinner on March 28th & March 29th (the group will be divided). Also, all top 24 women will partake in another interactive event(to be determined) on April 4th. (Dates Subject to change)
  • If selected for the top 12 by the PDGC, you will receive PDGC clothing apparel.
  • If selected as the 2nd runner-up you will receive a $50 academic scholarship
  • If selected as the 1st runner-up you will receive a $100 academic scholarship
  • The winner of the PDGC will receive the title of a Pike Dream Girl, a $500 academic scholarship and custom PDGC clothing apparel stating that you ARE the 2012 Pike Dream Girl

PDGC Process & Timeline

Informational Session: Monday February 13, 2012

  • A meet and greet with the Pike Chapter at 8:30pm
  • Any questions or concerns will be answered about the application and process
  • Previous Dream Girls will talk about their experiences
  • Bring anyone interested, very casual attire and atmosphere.

Application Process: Monday, February 20, 2012

  • Applications are due by 11:59pm at

Pike’s Fireman Challenge: February 22- 24, 2012

  • This is not a mandatory event but every girl is encouraged to attend to meet members of Pi Kappa Alpha and spread their name. Attending Pike’s Fireman Challenge events will increase points in your application about 15%-20%.

Top 48 Announced: March 8, 2012

  • Acongratulatory email will be sent out to the Top 48 participants with instructions of events and reminders for the next month and a half of the competition.

Top 48Mandatory Meeting: Monday, March 19, 2012

  • PDGB & the Top 40participants will meet at9pmat the PIKE House, which is located at 1525 E. Drachman Street, to further discuss our goal & vision for the competition & explain in full detail remaining events
  • Any girl unable to attend will be dropped from the competition

Top 48 Bowling Night: Thursday, March 22, 2012

  • 1 Hour and 30 Minutes Bowling night with Pike at Lucky Strike Bowling
  • Top 48 participants will meet at Pike at 8pm to carpool over and will be back at Pike by 10:30pm.

Top 24 Email: Monday, March 26, 2011

  • A congratulatory email will be sent out to the Top 24 participants with instructions of events and reminders for the next month of the competition.

Top 24 Speed Dating/Interview Process: Wednesday-Thursday March 28-29, 2012

  • 5-10 minute interviews conducted between each participant and the PDGB
  • Interviews will be between 6pm-7:30pm on Wednesday and Thursday.

Top 24 Activity (TBD): April 5, 2012

  • Interactive Activity to achieve more of a 1-on-1 conversations between girls and PIKEs

Top 12 Announced: April 9, 2012

  • A congratulatory email will sent out to the Top 12 participants with instructions of the final event and reminders.

Top 12 Dinner: Sunday April 15, 2012

  • Dinner at Grimaldi’sat 6pm with Philanthropy Committee
  • Review process so far and last upcoming event.

Top 12 Question& Answer: Monday, April 16, 2012

  • Final 12 participants will meet at XXXX at 8:00pm to go over presentation order and Top 12 picture taking.
  • Final 12 participants will go in front of Pike Fraternity one at a time to answer questions to help the fraternity determine who should be crowned as the first annual Pike Dream Girl
  • Final 12 participants will make a 2-3 minute special presentation about themselves(Can be a rap, video, slideshow, etc. Try to be creative!)
  • Upon completion of Q&A session and presentation, all 12 participants will re-enter the room for pictures and congratulations.
  • Final 12 will be asked to leave and the men of Pike will select the 2012 PDGC winner

Winner of the 2012 Pike Dream Girl Competition Announcement: Monday, April 23, 2012

  • Winner will beannounced on Monday, April 23, 2012
  • A presentation of the winner will be made at the respective Sorority before their chapter meeting begins.
  • Presentation will include the official Dream Girl Song, Pictures, and Pinning of the New Dream Girl

Top 12 Photo Memories: Sunday, April 29, 2012(tentative)

  • Meet at Pike at 1pm to head over to the Fire Station.
  • Top 12 participants can take/order pictures of themselves individually in front of the Fire Truck, with all 12 participants in front of the Fire Truck and with girls in their sorority who made the Top 12 as well in front of the Fire Truck.
  • Dress will be Pike apparel or Formal attire.
