HEALTHFUL LIVING

HEALTH OBJECTIVES

Our objective is to provide each student with a variety of health information which they can utilize to improve their individual health.

HEALTH GRADE

Health units will cover a one week period of time. Test or quizzes will be given each Friday of health. Notebook checks will also be done on Friday as well, just to see how well the students are keeping up with their work. The final health grade will be weighted from the notebook checks, quizzes, and test/projects.

Health = 40%

Notebook checks/quizzes = 20%

Test/projects = 20%

MATERIALS AND REQUIREMENTS

Students are required to bring a pencil or pen (blue/black ink only), health notebook, chrome book, and paper to class every day. Being unprepared to health class (chrome book, pencil, paper, assignments) will result in a one point deduction from your daily grade.

All students will need a one-subject spiral notebook for notebook checks. The notebook can be kept in a 3-inch binder that each student is required to have, the students can just place the notebook in the health section of that binder.

MAKE-UP WORK

Students are expected to make up their missed class work within one week of returning to school from an absence. This includes class work (notes and worksheets), tests, and quizzes. It is the responsibility of the student to see the teacher for their missed assignments. Test and quiz make-ups must be scheduled with their teacher A.S.A.P.
