PHOTOGRAPH GUIDELINES
v The perfect size is 1 inch wide by 1-1/3 inches deep. Any size between that and up to wallet-size is preferred. However, any size photo is acceptable.
v The photo must be in color and should be composed so that at minimum it shows the top of the head to at least the lowest point of the shoulders.
v The background should be plain/neutral, preferably white or light-colored.
v Avoid shadows on both the face and on the background.
ACCEPTABLE PHOTOGRAPH FORMATS
v Actual color prints are acceptable, preferably prints produced by a photo lab (not an ink-jet printer). Submit with the following details printed on the back: 1) your name; 2) your League affiliation — administrative region secretary, former board member, athletic/activities director, or registered official; 3) I.D. details — home city, school, or Official’s I.D. Number.
v Several retail establishments, including most Walgreens, provide a passport photo service for less than $10 and these prints are acceptable. Submit with the details listed above.
v Electronic or digital color images are acceptable, provided they meet the guidelines above. If shot with a digital camera, make sure the camera is set to provide you the highest resolution (file size) possible. If scanned from a print, the resolution of the scanner should be set to 300 dpi. Submit the image with your name (and in the case of officials, your Official’s I.D. Number) as the file name (e.g. johndoe99999.jpg).
