Chapter concerns

Delta Epsilon Chapter status on their host campus continues to be erratic at best. Specifically, the Chapter has been placed on inactive status by the host institution without an identified time period and/or actions that can be taken to rectify/resolve the chapter’s inactive status. Numerous attempts by the Tennessee State Director, Regional Director, and the International President have resulted in no change of status for the Chapter.

Chapter membership numbers continue to be an issue for Alpha Beta Delta, Beta Zeta, and Gamma Alpha Mu.

Recommendations

·  Work closely with Tau Iota Sigma to bring back the Collegiate Roundtable with West Tennessee collegiate chapters

·  Investigate the pros and cons of moving the certification process for membership intake to an online format

·  Encourage West Tennessee collegiate chapters to work together in an effort to develop recruitment and retention strategies that can be utilized by all chapters

·  Collegiate retention strategy – Require prospective members to pay membership fees that will cover their annual dues based upon their college/university enrollment classification (Frosh = 4 yrs., Soph = 3 yrs., the current two year minimum would remain the same)

·  Alumni retention strategy –– Require prospective members to pay membership fees that will cover their annual dues for four (4) years

Conclusion

I remain committed to upholding the high ideals of our GREAT Fraternity. I will continue to work diligently with brothers and chapters in my area along with state, regional, and international officers.
