7. Background Coursework and/or Experience. Applicants with relevant experience are regularly admitted to the HCDE graduate program even if their undergraduate coursework is in a different field. To guarantee that all HCDE graduate students have a basic understanding of the field of human centered design & engineering, students are required to possess the knowledge and skills taught in courses listed below. Many applicants will have met these course requirements with relevant work experience. Some will complete these courses after they have begun their graduate program studies. Credit from these courses does not count toward HCDE graduate degree requirements. If you believe your work experience correlates with these courses, please make an appointment with the HCDE Graduate Advisor.
