Krishna Mazumdar has worked at the Indian Statistical Institute since 1980 as a faculty staff in Economics. Her major areas of research include socioeconomic problems, cross-country studies, development economics, growth economics, and environmental economics. She engages in research and surveys; serves as principal investigator on small and large projects; teaches postgraduate and undergraduate students; guides PhD students; presents papers at international and national conferences; publishes internationally; serves as an editorial board member of three international journals; and reviews papers for international journals.
