BOBCATS

SONYA – Sonya is always kind to others. She plays nicely with her friends and helps others when they need a friend.

THEO – Theo always plays nicely with his friends. He shares equipment and takes turns when playing games.

DAISY – For being a kind and caring friend all of the time.

WILLIAM – For working hard at playing with his friends at break time and dinner time.

LYNX

DOMINIC – Dominic is always mindful of others and their feelings – he makes strong friendships and is loyal and caring.

OSKAR – Oskar is a sociable member of the class, he plays with everyone and is mindful of including others in his games.

TIGERS

LILLY-MAY – Lilly is kind and gentle. She is sensitive to other people’s feelings. Well done Lilly.

COUGARS

CHARLOTTE – Charlotte is always helpful and considerate of others. She respects her friends and enjoys playing with them. A genius friend, well done! FARREN – Farren has shown that he has made good friends in our class. He is helpful to other children and has worked hard to make new friendships. Well done!

JOANNE – Joanne always cares for her friends and is good at understanding others. Well done!

PANTHERS

CONNIE – Connie always considers the feeling of others. She is kind and approachable. Because of this, she is an excellent friend.

DYLAN – Dylan always looks to help other people and won’t hesitate to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. He is very considerate to others.

LUCA – For always displaying a kind and caring attitude and looking out for his classmates.

Lions A have worked incredibly hard on their recent research task using the ipads.

LIONS B

SAMUEL – Sam has been nominated by the class. He always plays games fairly, sorts out any disputes and is a good friend to everyone. Fantastic!

ICT

Week beginning 8th May

BOBCATS

DARCY – Darcy enjoys using ‘book creator’ on the iPods to create pictures and write sentences to tell her story.

JACK – Jack enjoys using the computer in the classroom and at home. He can complete an activity on the ipads independently.

LEOPARDS

DOMINIC – Word processed his prayer using the app ‘book creator’.

JAISHREE – Jaishree is confident using the ipad to access different applications.

LYNX

LACEY – Lacey worked well on programming Bee-Bot and really took on board e-safety rules.

MATILDA – For carrying out a very thorough holiday artefact sorting activity.

OLIVER – Excellent programming with Bee Bot and good understanding of how to be safe on the internet.

TIGERS

ASHLEIGH – For making a super effort with all her learning. We are very proud of her.

OLIVIA – For working hard on using key words.

CASSIE – Cassie shows a high level of skill when doing research on the internet. She understands the importance of e-safety. A positive attitude.

ROSIE – Rosie enjoys Science and takes an active part in class discussions. She understands how to carry out an investigation. A positive member in our class.

LUCA – Luca has improved his life cycle story by checking punctuation. I know Bobcats will enjoy his story on Thursday. Well done!

MEGAN – Megan shows a high level of skill when coding. She understands e-safety and displays a positive attitude.

ASHLEY – Ashley has shown a determination to achieve in ICT. His focus and completion of activities has also enabled him to support others.

BEN – Ben has shown an inquisitive mind in Science. He always impresses us with his own knowledge.

DYLAN – During ICT, Dylan is always very patient. He takes his time and shows resilience when completing our coding activities.

GEORGIA – Your Science book is impeccably presented and demonstrates your clear thinking.

Lions B children used the iPads to research facts about Charles Darwin that they could use to write a biography. Well done everyone!

MATHS

Week beginning 1st May

BOBCATS

EFION - Efion enjoyed looking after our tadpoles. She can talk about the life cycle of a frog.

FALLON – Fallon has been trying hard with her handwriting this week. MADDOX – Maddox enjoys ‘ForestSchool’. He also enjoys exploring the outdoors with Mummy and Daddy at home.

LEOPARDS

ILORI – For working hard in Maths. She is continually trying even when it is really hard.

WILLIAM – For amazing maths and for gaining confidence with reasoning and problem solving.

LYNX

OSCAR – For always working hard, always joining in, showing some really good mental mathematic strategies.

OSCAR – Oscar is trying hard with his maths in adding 10 to any 2 digit number.

TIGERS

CORBY – For hard work with multiplication and division calculations and word problems. Well done.

LUCY – For hard work with ‘x’ and ‘/’ calculations and word problems. Well done!

COUGARS

CONNIE – Connie has shown great improvement in all areas of calculations. She takes an active and enjoyable part in class discussions. This has improved her daily work significantly. Well done!

FARREN – Farren has shown good methods of adding using the ‘column method’. He can also solve word problems well.

GARETH – For great numeracy work.

ELLIE – Ellie has been pushing herself in Maths to find the value of each digit in a three decimal place number. Well done!

LILLY-MAY – Lilly-May has been pushing herself in Maths to improve on her decimal number knowledge. She has been working very hard. Well done.

PANTHERS

ANDREW – In maths, Andrew is always focused. Additionally, he shows a determination to ‘get it right’.

WILLIAM - In Maths, William will push himself to achieve more. Well done William!

LIONS A

AARON – Well done on your perseverance and hard work in preparation for SATS.

AMELIA – Although you have struggled with this subject, well done for your perseverance.

JAISHREE – For learning about giraffes and trying to write about these in her report. She also continued the giraffe research at home.

LEOPARDS

AMELINE – Fo rimproving her presentation and smiling whilst doing so!

KAIN – Kain has been practising his handwriting at home over the holidays. He is starting to pick up his pencil with his finger and thumb.

LYNX

BEN - Ben tried very hard to write good sentences using conjunctions in his piece of writing about the Space Centre visit, well done.

ROMA – Roma tried very hard to write good sentences using conjunctions in her piece of writing about the Space Centre. Well done!

TIGERS

PIERS – Piers has made interesting predictions and links with his experiences when he is reading.

COUGARS

OLIVER – Oliver has shown a high level of skill when writing creative stories. He makes use of adventurous words and can use dialogue well in his writing.

SCARLET – Well done on a super project about World War II. You have demonstrated an excellent understanding of artefacts.

WILLIAM – William has shown a high level of skill and creativity in extended long writing. His stories are entertaining and exciting to read.

ALEX – For great improvement in Literacy writing.

HARLEY – For great writing improvement.

JAGUARS

FINN – Finn is pushing himself during Literacy to write in detail taking care with handwriting and spellings.

MALIKA – Malika worked hard to retrieve and record information about Alrewas ready for her brochure next week.

PANTHERS

AMELIA – Amelia is a conscientious young lady who is always looking to improve. Her writing is neat and a pleasure to read.

POPPY – Poppy is a focused writer who always listens to advice. Her extended pieces of writing are entertaining anf interesting to read.

MADELINE – Madeline has worked hard to make sure her writing is of the highest standard in recent times and consistently looks to make improvements.

ROBBIE – Robbie has taken a fantastic interest in his writing in recent times and has produced some wonderful work based around The Hobbit.

LIONS B

DARCY - Darcy has worked really hard at improving the standard of her written work. We are really pleased with her effort.

NEVE – Neve always puts a lot of effort into her GGR homework. She has made super progress and we are really pleased with her.

EFION – Efion really enjoyed taking part in our Easter Service. She said her words beautifully.

JESSICA – Jessica worked really hard to prepare for our Easter Service. She practised her words at home and said them beautifully.

ANTHONY – For writing a lovely, thoughtful prayer. “Dear God, thank you for my friends. Amen”.

LIZZIE – For working hard on her prayer after working with Reverend John.

BEA – Bea always listens carefully, is very thoughtful and considerate and asks sensible questions.

WILLIAM – Always thoughtful, listens carefully in Worship, asks good questions and cares for others.

AMELIE – For thoughtful questions and sensitive prayers.

LILY - For thinking carefully about others and writing sensitive questions.

COUGARS

ALESHA – Alesha has shown a thoughtful and caring attitude towards prayer and has taken a positive role in our Easter Service.

RIAD – Riad has taken an active part in our Easter Service. He has written some thoughtful prayers. A very sensible and caring boy. Well done.

HARRY – Harry’s attitude in Church was fantastic. He listened carefully and sang loudly. Well done Harry.

LOGAN – Logan stood out in Church because he listened carefully and sang well. He set a great example for the rest of the Jaguars.

PANTHERS

ANDREW – Andrew volunteered to construct and read a class prayer. His prayer was precise and clear.

LACY – Lacy contributed in her team to create a beautiful Easter garden. Whilst she was chosen to take her project home, she volunteered to let another pupil take it home.

LIONS A

AARON – Through his R.E. work this year, Aaron has demonstrated a fantastic understanding of a variety of religions.

AMELIA – Amelia is thoughtful when discussing faith and always takes an active part in our R.E. class discussions.

LIONS B

HOLLY – Holly wrote a very reflective description of an important journey in life. She clearly described her sister’s journey into the world!

JESSICA – Jessica thought carefully about ways to address God through prayer. She participated fully in our class worship session.

BOBCATS

JAMES – James has worked hard to improve his balance and can now ride a pedal bike. He hasn’t given up when it is getting tricky.

JESSICA – Jessica is working hard in Maths. She has been practicing her number sequences at home.

LEOPARDS

ALFIE – Alfie keeps trying especially in maths reasoning.

DAISY – ‘To Improve’. Daisy is always checking her work and improving it. Fabulous!

LYNX

RUBY – Ruby has shown great perseverance with her writing. She always tries hard and doesn’t give up.

VIOLET – Push yourself! Violet has really been ‘trying hard’ with her writing and pushing herself to improve in her choice of words and her spelling.

TIGERS

BENJAMIN - Ben tries his hardest and doesn’t give up. He is always ready to learn.

IMOGEN – Imogen shows that she is resilient by listening and not giving up. She is a determined learner.

COUGARS

JIMMI - Jimmi has worked hard at trying new experiences. He has shown responsibility by helping in Nursery. Well done.

WILLIAM - William shows that he works hard and is willing to push himself in all areas of the curriculum. He has particularly worked hard in ‘Mastery Maths’. Well done!

ADAM – Adam demonstrates a positive attidude towards his work. This is now a consistent approach he shows in all lessons.

FRANCESCA – For pushing yourself in your Maths lesson, a subject you find very tricky. Keep maintaining your effort.

MOLLIE – For working hard in your sessions with Mrs May. Keep up your hard work.

ISOBEL - Isobel always works hard during French lessons and pushes herself to achieve the best quality work that she can.

BOBCATS

ALFIE – Alfie had his own ideas for anew tale about Goldilocks. Well done!

KAIN – Kain enjoyed finding frogs spawn in the pond and stayed safe near the water.

OLIVER – Oliver has enjoyed learning all about the frogs’ spawn and life cycle of a frog. He can talk about the tadpoles as they change.

THEO – Theo wrote a super story about the Three Bears. He listened well during the lesson and had his own ideas for writing.

EVA – For getting involved and being willing to have a go.

JAMES – For working hard and trying new things.

BEN – Ben has done some fantastic work with our Space topic. He has been really engaged, interested and has asked lots of questions.

FREYA – Freya always gives her best whatever the topic, she is always engaged and interested.

LEWIS – Lewis has shared an interesting idea about what he is reading.

CASSIE – Cassie has shown good knowledge and understanding of our study on the Innuits. Super factual writing.

ADAM – Adam has created some lovely Ancient Egyptian art which he should be very proud of, well done.

MEGAN – Megan has created some lovely Ancient Egyptian art. Keep up the good work!

PANTHERS

GEORGE – George hs taken the time to find artefacts for our WWII topic. He talks passionately about these items which inspires the other children.

HANNAH – Hannah will often bring models into school which qre interesting. The children enjoy listening to her explanations.

LIONS A

ARCHIE – Archie involves himself fully in discussion in Topic and shows interest in learning about other peoples and places.

GEORGIA – Georgia’s topic work is always beautifully presented and she always shows great enthusiasm for the subject.

LIONS B

OLIVIA – Olivia demonstrates great enthusiasm during Topic lessons. She always asks lots of questions and offers lots of answers.

TRAVIS – Travis always offers lots of different suggestions when a variety of topics is being discussed. Great effort!
