1. Secretary Report

3. Guest Speaker – Reg Smith – Rotary Award
Petoskey Bands were chosen as the 2017 Diamonds and Denim recipients! Diamonds and Denim is a Petoskey Rotary fundraiser where the rotary shares the profits with another non-profit organization. This is a HUGE honor! Reg Smith (Rotary) and Carlin Smith (Band) will be the Chairpersons for the event. Several volunteers are needed to have this event be the enormous success that it can be. More information will follow in future band minutes.
4. Old Business
a. Trophy Case “To-Do”: Where to put 2016 trophies? Andy is repairing the last few trophies, Linda and Alicia will be working on recognition plaques (list of contributors), Directors are working on the “Legacy” portion. Next projects: Add a shelf in the Band Room and clean/hang award plaques in boxes upstairs.
2016 Trophies are in the showcase. Melissa Swan plans on making sure that it gets dusted.
b. Raffle – Update (November 30th)
Possibly move to Spring of 2018 or not do it the year of 17-18 because of Diamonds and Denim.
c. Urgent need: (Co)-Chairs needed for Festivals; also DALMAC (with Julie Seida, Melissa Swan, and Corey Bennett)
A co-chair is still needed at this time.
5. New Business
a. Diamonds and Denim presentation
THANK YOU CARLIN SMITH FOR CHAIRING THIS EVENT FOR THE BAND PROGRAMS!
* Keep an eye out for upcoming needed volunteer lists.
b. Pre-Festival Concert Feb 8 PMS 7 pm (reserved seats?), volunteers, merchandise
Volunteers are still needed to help sell merchandise and to make sure that the doors remain closed during the event.
c. Festivals February 22- 24 Chairs: Beth Cooper, Sarah Shornak, and Kristen Ketvertis
They are all set and working on items.
d. Tri-fold – next update will be?
The next update will be passed out at the Spring Concert.
e. Steel Trip Feb 23 – Mar 1.
Directors are taking care of this.
f. Krispy Kreme – Chair? Dates?
Linda Barrows is checking in to see about the Chairperson. The tentative dates are sell March 3rd through March 10th. Delivery March 15th – 17th.
g. Senior Video
Melissa Swan will contact Tara Otto – Brill to see if she would be willing to put together the senior video.
