Pet show at Al Hamra - you’d be barking to miss it!
Al Hamra Real Estate Development to host debut two-day pet festivalthis Friday and Saturday 5th and 6th November; dog and cat-owners and their feline and canine friends from across the UAE invited to participate in a host of events to test speed, agility and cuteness.
Al Hamra Real Estate Development will host its inaugural Pet Festival this weekend at Al Hamra Marina, from 2pm-7pm on Friday and Saturday. The family fun weekend will include a variety of pet classics including an agility ring, a fancy-dress contest for pets and owners, plus a cat and dog adoption day.
According to Benoy Kurien, Al Hamra Real Estate General Manager, the event is as much about having fun as it is about raising awareness of animal welfare.
“We wanted to create a fun and exciting event for all the family but one that also had a serious message about how to look after your pet by educating individuals on pet products, food, health, training and pet services – there will even be someone to speak about pet fashion so your pet can keep up-to-date with all the latest trends,” he said.
Al Hamra Pet Festival will also feature an exciting demonstration by the UAE Police's K9 Unit. The highly trained canines are of the highest quality, individually selected and specifically trained to accommodate the widely varying requirements of law enforcement. The demonstration will be held on both days.
The event, sponsored by Pets Oasis, Pet Middle East Magazine, Posh Paws, The Emirates Kennel Club, RAK Animal Welfare Centre, Isukoshi, Q Ko Asian Market and RAKTourism Development Authority will be attended by dog trainers, a host of pet product vendors, veterinary consultants and training schools. A variety of food options will be available for owners from Motor Mouth food truck and Marina Muse restaurant, plus a number of fun activities and games for children.
The Pet Festival will take place this weekend, Friday and Saturday, the 4th and 5th November at Al Hamra Marina. Entry to the event is free and prizes and portraits of winners will be awarded on the day. For more information please visit the Al Hamra Village Facebook page.
