A word about your 2018 dues….
Once again, we are attempting to send out the dues notice early so that this obligation won’t crimp your Holiday budget and you can have your 2003 dues card in hand should you find yourself on a Masonic journey this winter. We are proud to report that the cooperation has been fantastic; only one Brother is not current with his dues. Be reminded that we send in the Grand Lodge per capita of $xx.xx in January. A mere $xx.xx remains for the operation of ______Lodge. That makes it imperative that each member remit his obligation in a timely fashion.
You are also afforded the opportunity to support several worthy Masonic charities when you send your dues. The Masonic Service association Blue Envelop Program and the ____ fund. See the enclosed explanation of the ____ fund.
These are ways each one of us can practice the Masonic Virtue of Charity. Please give them your careful consideration.

The “2018 Fund” Story:
Brotherly Love, Relief & Truth
For the past few years, the dues notices from ______Lodge have included the opportunity for its members to contribute to the “____ Fund.”
The “____ Fund” was established to accomplish two important goals by practicing charity, among our brothers and local community, both important Masonic teachings.
The monies received into the “____ Fund” pay for the annual Grand Lodge per capita for members who whatever the reason have been unable to pay their annual dues. It may be that the brother is in a care facility, has health problems or is financially distressed. It would be considered un-Masonic to drop these members from the membership rolls due to such a hardship. To do so, they would lose several important benefits: their priority status for admission to the Minnesota Masonic Homes and eligibility for awards such as a 50-year pin and certificate.
After we take care of our own members, the remaining funds help augment our annual charity endeavors at ______Lodge.
Providing relief by practicing charity is a foundation within our Masonic teachings, the ____ Fund offers that opportunity.
Second Notice From Secretary
Dear Brother,
In reviewing the Lodge records, I notice that I have not received your 2009 dues payment.
I realize that we send out your dues notice rather early to assist those brothers who may want to avoid the holiday budget crunch and that you may have laid it aside.
______Lodge is required to send the per capita payment to the Grand Lodge this month so your cooperation in remitting payment at this time would be greatly appreciated.
If you find that you are unable to comply with your dues obligation at this time, please let me know. ______Lodge No. ____ has established a fund to assist those brothers in such a situation. It’s part of our obligation as Masons to do so and will be done in strict confidence.

Dear Brother,
I have been advised by the secretary that you have not, for whatever reasons, responded to his notices regarding your ______Lodge dues.
We have determined that, if we truly live by those great Masonic principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth, no member should ever be dropped for non-payment of dues. To do so would harm the brother by him losing his priority status for admission to the Minnesota Masonic Homes, ability to visit other Lodges, eligibility for membership awards, membership in appendant Masonic bodies such as the Shrine, and any and all rights afforded a Master Mason.
Because of this and the generosity of your Brothers at ______Lodge through the “____ Fund,” I am pleased to enclose your 2018 dues card. Be assured that this is done in the strictest confidence.
