Jianxiong Zhang, male, born in Nov. 1979, is a professor and doctoral supervisor in Institute of System Engineering, Tianjin University. He received PHD in Management Science and Engineering from Tianjin University in 2006. His major research interests include dynamic supply chain management, complex system modeling and optimization. He has published more than 60 SCI/SSCI papers in international journals such as JOTA, Omega, IJPE, IJPR, AOR, as well as IEEE Transactions., Neural Computation, Pattern Recognition, Biological Cybernetics, Nonlinear Dynamics, etc. Currently, he is undertaking a National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) research project and a Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Science Fund project. He has directed and accomplished a NSFC research project and a Ph.D. Programs Foundation for young researchers of Ministry of Education. He also participated in one research project from the Cheung Kong scholars and innovation team development plan of the Ministry of Education and a NSFC program. He was awarded the title of “New Century Excellent Talents in University of Ministry of Education of China” in 2011 and “Peiyang distinguished young scholar” of Tianjin University in 2012. He is currently a reviewer of “Mathematical Reviews” and an associate editor of “Journal of Modelling in Management”. Professor Zhang visited College of Business, City University of Hong Kong in 2013 and School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas in 2014 as a visiting scholar.
