Personal Lines Product Analyst Internship:

Details of the Internship:

Dates: 10 week program June 4th-August 10th
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:15pm (37.5 Hours)
Pay: $14.00hr plus holiday pay(July 4th)

*Due to this position potentially leading to full-time employment, at this time we are not accepting applicants that require F1 student or H1B sponsorship.

Skills learned during the internship:

  • Update current Personal Lines reports such as: Quote to Bind Reports, Shopping data, Trend reports
  • Develop and analyze business mix in order to track business quality shifts
  • Improve efficiency of report generation process where opportunity exists
  • Present findings from each report in weekly team meetings and provide project status updates
  • Be accountable for meeting deadlines
  • Communicating adverse trends to pricing/product lead and underwriting
  • Present favorable trends to sales team (field ops) to capitalize on marketplace advantage

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Graduating seniors 4 year college or university with an emphasis inrisk management, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or related business field.
  • Please indicate your expected graduation date on your application, e.g., May 2018, December 2018, May 2019, etc.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paces, dynamic environment.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic computer operations and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Some knowledge of working in a business office environment preferred.
