Job purpose
To undertake research as part of a 2 year project starting on 1 October 2015 funded by the NIHR Health Services and Delivery Research Programme under the supervision of the award holder. The post-holder will play a key role in undertaking a structured review of the literature, conducting qualitative interviews with patients across Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, assisting in two citizens’ panels, and analyzing qualitative data. You will also contribute where necessary towards the project administration, drafting papers and presenting our results at conferences.

Internal and external relationships /
Internal: the postholder will work under the direction of the research award supervisor
External: this post is part of the NIHR Health Services & Delivery Research Programme and the potholder will be expected to contribute to the activities of this Programme (e.g. seminars, conferences, etc.); the postholder will also be expected to liaise with stakeholders including Department of Health and NHS and public/user representatives.
Special Requirements /
To be available to travel across 4 counties in the South of England to conduct qualitative interviews, as required by the specified research project.
Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
