Person Specification
Regional Managers are required to work both independently and within a team to develop a strategy to maximise all revenue and awareness opportunities for The Leprosy Mission.
Essential Skills
- Proven track record of success as a community fundraiser or have the requisite sales and marketing experience gained in the business sector
- Proven track record of personally generating funds/sales in excess of £100,000
- Practising Christian, actively involved in a local congregation and able to lead church services across different church settings
- Excellent analytical skills, sound judgment and decision making, and the ability to carry through difficult decisions
- Good IT and social media skills, including a thorough working knowledge of MS Office applications, email and accessing the Internet
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Relationship building skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships and influence supporters, colleagues and volunteers
- Excellent volunteer management skills with the ability to identify, recruit, train and manage a cadre of volunteers in your region
- Passion for helping those who are marginalised
- Able to undertake extensive travel within the UK and an overseas project visit every 2 years
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent relevant professional experience
- Valid UK Driving Licence
Desirable Skills
- Creative with the ability to think outside the box and ahead of the curve, with an ability to see new areas of fundraising potential
- Awareness of International development issues
- Familiarity with data protection and its application to fundraising
- Familiarity with Health and Safety issues relating to ‘events’
Terms of Appointment
- Permanent Contract (subject to 6 months probation)
- 35 hours per week
- be willing to work on Sundays and evenings as required and occasional Saturdays
- Salary on appointment £30,000 (Salary Band C1)
- 25 days annual leave
- A car to assist you to carry out the duties associated with this role
- Non-contributory pension scheme
- These positionsare all home based and successful candidates will be required to live within their regions and ideally be situated close to rail and major road links.
