Activity description:
Day trips on inland waterways for disabled and able-bodied people on board ‘Symphony’.
· All skippers are licensed and fully trained and boats are insured for conveyance of passengers.
· The vessel is licensed by the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) and complies with their Regulations at all times.
· All passengers are provided with buoyancy aids if necessary.
· The vessel is equipped with buoyancy rafts, fire-fighting and First Aid equipment in excess of DTI requirements.
· The vessel is equipped with mobile phones for emergency purposes and for contact with the base.
· The full emergency procedure is set out in the Training & Briefing Guidance document and the Management Safety Code. A summary is attached to this Risk Assessment.
Craft - year of build 1982. Length 65’, Beam 10’ 6”, Draft 1’ 10”.
Maximum load - 32 passengers plus minimum crew of 2.
