- Pendennis prove their ‘super’ credentials
The annual World Superyacht Awards honours the best projects delivered each year and Pendennis was named Winner of the ‘Rebuilt Motor Yacht’ category at the stunning awards ceremony held in Istanbul.
- Strong showing for Cornish tourism excellence
Cornwall’s tourism businesses claimed 6 titles in the VisitEngland Awards of Excellence 2013, with 19 gongs overall going to the South West.
- Falmouth company shows real Vision
Vision Independent Financial Planning Ltd has won The Best of the Best Business Award for Outstanding Business Achievement for 2013. The expanding company celebrates the national award as they head into their fifth year of trading.
- SW award for World Heritage Heartland
The South West & Wales RICS Awards have named Heartlands as joint winner of Project of the Year. The regeneration project on the World Heritage site in Pool shared the award with a Welsh project, Ty Hedfan.
- Truro company ‘pumped’ to win 3 national awards
Kensa Engineering, the manufacturer of ground source heat pumps, won a double at the prestigious H & V News Awards 2013 and then took away the coveted title of ‘Product Innovation of the Year’ at the National Heat Pump Awards 2013.
- Sands gets the TripAdvisor thumbs up
The Sands Resort Hotel in Porth has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award. The accolade is only given to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site.

A Truro based event management company has launched a new national brand to support its work east of the Tamar. Event Cornwall has unveiled a new national identity, Mackerel Sky Events.
- On TRAC to win at IOD event
Co-founder of the pharmaceutical regulatory affairs consultancy TRAC Services, Sarah Trethowan, has been shortlisted for Director of the Year in the Institute of Directors (IoD) South West Business Awards.

Sharp's Brewery has unveiled a new temperature-controlled storage facility to ensure that its award-winning beers are preserved in their optimum condition.
- Stonehenge gets the H2OK treatment
H2OK Water and Energy has won the contract to install a sewage treatment plant for the new Stonehenge visitor centre being built by English Heritage.
- St Austell Brewery drinks to success
Turnover has passed £100m at St Austell Brewery for the first time in the Cornish company's history. The business said the success of its own brands have led to the sales rise. /
