Science, S & E / Put on your SCUBA gear and join us as the PEAC Marine Research cruiser departs on this amazing ocean expedition. Dive and explore the varied ecosystems of the blue planet from the alien-like creatures lurking in the deep to the beauty of the coral reefs. Investigate the rich biodiversity of our oceans and explore ways to protect them.

MD / Maths Detective
Maths / Are you a skilled maths investigator? Do you love to solve intriguing, brain-teasing problems? Join up as a PEAC Maths Detective and see if you can get to the bottom of a series of ‘mathematical crimes’. Try this one for starters: “Several houses have been burgled on the same street. The order of the houses burgled is as follows: 1, 3, 4, 7, 11 and 18.” Where will the burglar strike next?
MB / Mythbreakers
Science / The popular television program, “Mythbusters” is based on the concept of exploring urban myths and investigating to see if they can be confirmed, seen as plausible or completely busted”. You will examine a number of myths, Develop your science investigation skills and select a myth you wish to study in depth, set up the testing conditions to confirm or break those myths!
VS / Vet Science
Science / Join the PEAC Online School of Veterinary Science and explore the wonderful world of animals. Develop your skills and understanding of taxonomy, anatomy, physiology, pathology and animal behaviour; dissect a virtual frog; debate some ethical issues; make a diagnosis for your animal patients once you have graduated.
MO / Maths Olympiad
Maths / Join the competition to see who will be the PEAC Mathematical Olympian for 2013. Each week you will be training for the Olympiad by solving a range of problems and explaining the strategies you used. This training will culminate in the “PEAC Mathematical Olympiad” where you will pit your problem solving skills against your fellow ‘Mathletes’.
TE / Tessellating with Escher
The Arts, Maths / Are you interested in both Maths and Art? There are many parallels between the two subjects, and in this course we will combine both by studying the fascinating drawings of M.C. Escher, then experimenting with patterns and tessellations to create your own artwork.
HC / Hogwarts Challenge
Science / Join all the other Muggles with special talents at Hogwarts as you develop your knowledge and skills. Find out where the sorting hat places you! Work with other students in your House to master Potions, Herbology, Transfigurations, and Muggle Studies. Let the challenge begin!!
