VII. District/Campus PDS Goals
The Steering Committee members were asked to examine the Partnership Goals for PDS Sites and provide feedback. The following recommendations were made:
Regarding Candidate Development, the committee recommended adding TAs as a group who will receive information about the TAPR/Campus data. The campus administrator should be added to the persons responsible for providing that information. Regarding Teacher/Faculty Development, the committee recommended adding the Baylor training team to those responsible for training interns and mentor teachers in Action Research. Campus administrators should be added to the those responsible for training interns and mentor teachers in co-teaching strategies and professional learning communities. Lastly, Debbie Perry explained how math MISD faculty and Baylor faculty meet monthly to discuss conferences, the Math Teacher Academy, and conduct book studies. This was in response to the goal of promoting teacher attendance at content-related academies and other related trainings.
