ONEDAY BEFORE YOUR EXAMINATION: ______

  1. Mix Golytely according to the package instructions (Golytely is not standard in all pharmacies, so please call your pharmacy well in advance to be sure they have one of this in stock). Mix 1-2 days before your test and refrigerate for better taste. It may be put on ice.

a)Begin drinking Golytely between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM the day before your examination. It is better to start early so that you may have a good night’s sleep. Sip small amounts frequently. You should empty an 8-ounce glass every fifteen minutes. It will take approximately 3-5 hours to drink all of it. Faster drinking will cause cramping so you may drink slower if cramps do occur.
