PASKONG HIMIG SA LUNGSOD NG PASIG 2010

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  1. Paskong Himig sa Lungsod Pasig is a vocal solo and choral competition sponsored by the City Government of Pasig. This is divided into four (4) categories with their respective age levels namely:

d.Senior60 and above

  1. Participants are required to submit a photocopy of their birth certificate attached to the registration form. For senior citizen category, a photocopy of his/her senior citizen ID card must be submitted.
  1. The contest is open to those residing/studying/working in Metro Manila and nearby provinces such as Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Cavite, etc. The minimum number of choir members is 15 persons while the maximum number is 30 persons.
  1. Only non-professional singers are qualified to participate in all categories.
  1. Qualifying rounds will be held to select ten (10) finalists for each category. The schedule is as follows:

  1. Contestants for the vocal solo are encouraged to submit a CD format of good quality of the audition piece for the qualifying round. This will facilitate the short listing of applicants. However, if this is not possible, applicant will do a live performance.
  1. Contestants in all categories can render any piece of their choice during the qualifying rounds.
  1. All participants in the choir who qualify during the elimination round should submit copies (musical scores) of their warm up and Christmas pieces, Philippine or foreign to be submitted to The Secretariat. No alteration of the submitted pieces (transposition, etc.) or change of piece for the final round will be allowed.
  1. Contestants for the vocal solo and choir who will use recorded accompaniment must submit said accompaniment in CD format to The Secretariat one week before the scheduled final round.
  1. No conductor is allowed to conduct two choirs in the same category but is allowed to conduct in different categories.
  1. Any infraction/violation committed in any of the guidelines, rules and regulations in any of the categories will automatically disqualify the contestant/contestants concerned.
  1. The decision of the board of judges is final.
  1. Registration is open during the entire month of October, Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Tanghalang Pasigueño. Please contact Mr. Zaldy Santos and Ms. Flor Villanueva at telephone nos. 628-0778 and 628-0379.
