Job Description: This position is a key member of the STRIDE team with a responsibility for developing and managing sport and recreational programs that align with strategic, programmatic goals. A key strategic goal will be to manage existing programs and infrastructure to enable STRIDE Adaptive Sports to continue its services free of charge to participants. The ideal candidate must be proficient to envision successful programs and supply the leadership necessary to carry them out; be able to manage volunteers, work with outside parties and adhere to organizational guidelines on a daily basis.

Primary Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities include coordinating schedules, recruitment of athletes and volunteers to participate in programs; overseeing the maintenance of facilities and developing curriculum for participants and volunteers. You must work within program budgets, oversee the training of volunteer personnel; and design and implement new programs to meet the needs of the community. Qualified candidates must understand the requirements for adapting activities for disability participation. Excel spreadsheets will be maintained; data entry, training, managing people and executing programs, in particular, our SCORE camping programs. Program manager may also be responsible for developing a recruitment and retention strategy for volunteer participation. Office work will be mandatory, and on-site management of the programs will include extra-curricular hours, working weekends and nights as necessary.

Qualifications:
• CTRS or comparable degree; Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience in Therapeutic recreation experience or comparable
• Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with an ability to articulate the concepts of STRIDE’s work with passion and commitment
• Strong sense of ethics and respect for confidentiality and sensitivity to those with disability issues
• Excellent organizational, project management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• High computer literacy (proficiency in Microsoft Word, e-mail and social media)
• Be both a hands-on self-starter who knows how to take the initiative, and a collaborative colleague

Compensation and Benefits: This position is a full-time position: $28,000-30,000 commensurate with experience, with career/salary growth potential. Benefits include employer contributing health insurance and 403B plan. Generous vacation/holiday policy. Flexible work hours/environment.
