COLLABORATE

Part of South East Dance Dramaturg in Residence programme

Dramaturgs support artists to develop thinking and vision as they create their work. Our Dramaturg in Residence programme offers different ways to engage with dramaturgy.

COLLABORATE provides financial support to artists who want to work with a dramaturg within their choreographic practice.

If you would value some time with SED’s own Dramaturg in Residence Lou Cope, Guest Dramaturgs Martin Hargreaves or Luke Pell, or there is a different dramaturg that you would like to work with – you can apply for up to 5 days of support to work with a dramaturg.

Here are just a few ways you might want to work with a dramaturg:

  • Ongoing Skype consultations to support you throughout a process.
  • Research and development prior to going into rehearsal.
  • Time with a dramaturg in the studio during a rehearsal process.
  • Dedicated time to reflect on your current practice / future development.
  • A combination of the above…

We are open to your ideas and hope to be as flexible as possible. Please note that the funds awarded will go towards the dramaturg’s fee only, not towards additional expenses or space hire.
