“Yesterday was a hectic day in my Chemistry class. We had to finish pages 36-39 of our Interactive Notebook, then there is a 3-D model of the atom that was assigned to us as well. I was assigned to do the 3-D structure of Neon in my chemistry class. This is also what I draw on page 36 of my notebook. I think I did a pretty good job with my drawing .

The Neon atom has the nucleus which is the center of the atom and the electron cloud. The nucleus of the atom contains the protons and neutrons while the electron cloud contains the electrons.

To find the number of protons, I looked for the atomic number of Neon from the periodic table. The number on top of Neon is the atomic number and this number is 10. This number is also the number protons and electrons because this is a neutral atom. To find the number of neutrons, I had to ______”
