Part 2 – Tariff List 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2018.

The rates published are indicative. Actual rates will depend on commodity prices achieved and additional charges imposed by the Government.

HS1 purchases its electricity via a flexible purchasing strategy spread across the 24 months leading up to delivery. The strategy dictates that some energy is purchased as ‘seasons’ and some as ‘month ahead’ contracts in order to effectively hedge wholesale market risk. The total weighted average price paid for a monthly delivery period will not be known until all of the volume has been purchased and therefore average costs across a season can only be confirmed in the final month of that season.

Indications provided comprise of the weighted average of all closed and open positions valued at current wholesale market rates as of (enter date of Budget Tool) but actual prices are subject to the end of year “wash up”.
