Parker’s PA PowerStation Family Combines the Power of
Interact HMI with Our Most Affordable Package Ever

MILFORD, OH (July 15, 2004) — Parker Automation announces the release of CTC’s PA PowerStation family, a “perfect fit” solution that is an easy drop-in replacement for many popular panel products, such as Allen Bradely’s PV and PV+. Designed and manufactured for reliability, these rugged units combine the connectivity, functionality and expandability of Interact HMI software with many standard features that cost extra on competitive models. Interact is a feature-rich software package that can be tailored to meet the needs of any HMI project. It provides the ease of use of Windows® for development, with a highly reliable run-time environment. Interact’s event-driven kernel enables reliable, high-speed program execution.

This all-new family of PowerStations includes 5”, 6”, 8” and 10” color touchscreen displays. All units combine the connectivity, functionality and expandability of Interact HMI software with standard hardware features such as CompactFlash storage, RS-232, RS-422/485 and 100BaseT Ethernet ports. PA PowerStations allow users to choose the right system for their application without sacrificing the features they need.

“The new PA family is ideal for those who are tired of the limitations and high cost that accompany proprietary panels,” said Jerry Koch, software product manager at CTC. “The features offered with the PA family are standard, for example, while other manufacturers offer these only as options. Users now have a powerful HMI alternative, which is also the most affordable package we’ve ever manufactured.”

PA PowerStations are expandable with Interact software modules such as Historical Trending and advanced Recipe Management. Flexibility is assured with 50 standard communication drivers, including Ethernet drivers.

The PA family also comes with a flat-panel display and 32 MB system memory. Model numbers include the PA05, PA06, PA08 and PA10.
