Description / Bequests:
Testator expresses her wish that her funeral is arranged with as little expense as possible and anything connected with it ‘may be of the plainest kind’
-  to nephew John Martin of Newton Bushell, Devon, testator’s silver coffee pot but if John dies without children the coffee pot passes at his death to testator’s nephew Thomas Martin of Callington
-  to each of testator’s sisters Frances Couch of Exeter, widow and Lydia Martin of Launceston, the sum of £50 each
-  to brother John Martin of Callington £50
-  to niece Isabella Nicholls, daughter of testator’s late brother Robert £50, together with 2 silver salts, a silver pepper caster and a locket with hair of testator’s mother and father
-  to niece Catherine Andrews, another daughter of testator’s late brother Robert, the sum of £50 together with testator’s watch and appendages, silver tea spoons and all the testator’s clothes
-  to the 3 children of sister Frances Couch, the sum of £60 to be divided equally between them
-  to the 5 daughters of the testator’s brother John, the sum of £100 and the testator’s rings to be divided equally among them
-  to niece Ursula Martin, testator’s silver tea pot
-  to niece Emma Martin, silver sugar basin and tongs
-  to niece Mary Lydia Martin, 6 silver meat spoons engraved with the letters, ‘REP’
-  to niece Ellen Martin, a small silver cup
-  to niece Ann Martin, a silver milk jug and testator’s pearl mourning ring to the memory of Mr Knell
-  to Thomas Martin son of brother John, testator’s best cut glass decanter and plated spirit stand and bottle
Executors to call in the mortgage and other monies owed to testator and to pay the legacies within six months of testator’s death
-  to nephews John and Thomas Martin all the rest of goods, chattels and effects, after payment of funeral and testamentary expenses, to be shared equally
