Parish Council Meeting Minutes 1/14/2018
Meeting called to order at 1:10 PM.
In attendance:
-Fr. Jim Profirio-Bond, Advisor
-Jacqueline Stealy, President
-Sandy Wainman, Vice-President
-John Valverde, Treasurer
-Carmen Carrero, Secretary
-Matt Emery, Member
-Alexandeer De Leon, Member
-Sean Stewart, Member
-Marion Buckingham, Member
Minutes from previous meeting were not read,, but were approved unanimously.
Treasurer's Report:
John gave his report: checking account balance of $1196.25 and savings account balance of $5056.26.
Old Business:
-Sandy will visit the resource center that has been established to help Hurricane
Maria victims from Puerto Rico to see if they will accept donations of
items/money. If they do not, she will find out where these can be taken to.
-The $500.00 Christmas donation that was agreed upon for the Zebra Coalition
was not given at holiday time. The donation will still be given to them and John
is in charge of buying a card to include the check and deliver it.
New Business:
-Motion was made that when an expense is to be covered by parish funds, that the
Treasurer be informed beforehand. Motion was seconded and approved.
-A discussion was had about setting a limit on the expenses that would be covered
by the parish if we have an outing. Eventually a motion was made, that if we go
out as a group, the liquor tab will be paid by the individuals ordering. The
motion was accepted and approved.
-Fr. Jim informed that the yearly SunBiz filing by non-profits is coming up and
that he will do that.
-There was an email offering group travel options for the parish. Fr. Jim said he
will include information on the website.
Next meeting will be Sunday, February 4th.
Motion for meeting to be adjourned was made, seconded and approved.
Meeting adjourned at 1:50 PM.
