Mr Avoth reported that numbers are looking good for Year 7 intake in 2016 and Year 11 and 13 results predicted to be good this year too.
MUGA has had lighting fitted. Astroturf to be fitted by end of May. Good facility generating income from community.

A / Parents reported that latest INSET Day on 18 April was too short notice. The newsletter was received during the Easter holiday and many parents werenot aware of the new date. They were not able to contact the Academy during the holiday. CG reported that the Academy does have a skeleton staff during holidays and parents can leave messages. MA and CG apologised for late notice. CG to look at future comms. / CG / C
A / Parents commented that the Academy Newsletter was very good, but possibly too long. It was suggested that perhaps a shorter one every half term may be better. CG to query with DD. / CG/DD / O
A / Steve gave useful demonstration of Progresso with parent login. It is possible to see student’s attendance, assessments and timetable. Steve to work on authorised and unauthorised absences so that the information is current and not alarming for parents. Parents who have split responsibility will both receive a login. / SS / O

A / CG reported PVT bank balance as at 15/4/16 £1552.81 and an extra £94 from Quiz and £289 from Easter Mufti to be paid in. / LBu/LB / O
A / Discussion about library spending from PVT money. Librarian would like a beach hut and deck chairs and iPad Air at a total of £640. Parents questioned why she needs an iPad Air. CG to query and feed back to PVT members. DD to provide more content. / CG/DD/CS / asap / O
Jo suggested idea for students to do some fundraising for library. PVT to consider for future. / O

A / Date agreed for Christmas Market as Wednesday 30 November, 3-6pm at TBA. Nicky Guy (Kingsleigh PTA) is happy to consider a joint event. Linda to contact Nicky with the date and invite her to the next meeting to discuss more details. To include raffle prizes, stalls and refreshments. A / 6/7/16 is Year 6 Transition Event. PVT representative to give short presentation at Head’s Talk at 5.30 and 6.30pm. Mark/DD to ensure information about PVT is included in packs for prospective parents. / MA/CG/DD / O
A / PTC events. Lisse reported that Year 11 students are doing exams and Year 10s are not yet in post as Bourne Leaders. Lisse to speak to Jonathan Perkins about training some Year 10 students/new Bourne Leaders. / LBu/JP / asap / O

A / If students do not wish to speak to a male HOH, they can speak with the HOH Buddy. Each HOH has a buddy of the opposite sex. Lisse to speak to HOH to swap Mr Taafe’s Buddy from Mr Burke. / LBu / asap / O
