Earlier this year, BHS teachers beganmaking classroom grades viewable to students on the X2 Aspen Student Grading Portal. During a one-week period in late September, students were taken to computer labs to open these accounts. They were encouraged to share this information with their parents, and we hope they did so. At this time, we are ready to open the X2 Aspen Family Grading Portal. This will allow youonline access to grades, attendance, and contact informationfor any of your children at BHS. We hope you will make use of this opportunity to stay up to date on your child’s academic progress. We also encourage you to speak with your child about this, as “partnership” is an important component of BHS PRIDE.

This year, use of the X2 Aspen Grading Portal is still a pilot program. The initial expectation for teachers is that they will post grades and publish assignments to the portal at a minimum of two times each term—on the dates progress reports and report cards are distributed. Please see below for a list of these dates. However, we hope some teachers will post grades more frequently and before these dates. Please be aware that teachers will still need ample time to grade student assignments. The directions below will guide you as you use this new program.

How do I log in?

Go to log in using the user name and password provided below. Please note that ‘www’ is NOT part of the web address. You will have to change your password the first time you log in. Students have a different password for their accounts.

The second time you log in, you will be prompted to setup the Self Serve Password Recovery feature. This feature will allow you to receive a new password in the event you forget your password. The password will automatically be sent to the e-mail address that you enter in the “primary email” text box. In addition, please be aware that any electronic communication from BHS will be sent to this e-mail address as well. Enter your email address, select a security question, and enter the answer in the security answer and “confirm answer” fields. There is no need to change your password. Click OK when you are finished.

What if my user name and/or password aren’t working?

Send an email to ncluding the following information:

1. Your name and your child’s name

2. Your child’s homeroom and house number

3. Brief description of the problem you are having

How do I look at my child’s school attendance?

1. Click on the My Info top tab.

2. Click on the Attendance side tab.

How do I look at my child’s grades?

1. Click on the Academics top tab.

2. A list of your courses will appear.

3. Click on one of the course numbers. You will see a screen with a

grade summary for that class.

4. Click on the Assignments side tab to see alist of assignments, and

your grades for each assignment.

5. To see information for other classes, either use the arrows at the

upper right corner of the page, or click again on theAcademics top tab,

and then click on another blue coursenumber.

How do I change password/email address?

1. Click Set Preferences in the upper right corner of any screen.

2. Under the security tab, you can change these items.
