Afternoon Carpool Schedule
3:00 pm:No one may line up before 3:00 pm. A volunteer/staff member will be placed at the top of Mira Vista to turn cars away until 3:00 pm.
While in line, cars should pull as close to the curb on the right, and as close to the car in front, as possible. CARS MAY NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED AND PARKED IN THE CARPOOL LINE FOR ANY REASON. While waiting in line before 3:30 pm, you may see cars pass on the left;these includeparents and others with appointments, maintenance, VIPs, after-school care, etc.
3:35 pm:Carpool begins. No passing on the left once carpool begins. Parents needing to pull out of the line for emergency reasons may call the Front Office at 720-873-7395. DO NOT attempt to pull out of the line without the help of an attendant at any time.Cell phones and all other electronic devices should be turned off by the time your carreaches the roundabout.
If the line is moving forward and you have not yet received your student, drive forward to the student entrance and pull to the curb out of the way of passing traffic. A staff member will radio into the school for your student. Frequent pm carpool lateness on the part of the student will result in school discipline. Parents are encouraged to arrive closer to 3:45 or 4:00 pm to avoid a long wait in the carpool line.
The name of any student remaining at school more than 5 minutes after carpool is over will be recorded. If the same student remains at school late more than twice a week or 8 times in a month, a fee of $20 will be assessed to be paid before records are released.
