Welcome

Team Puma Wrestling is dedicated to developing wrestlers of all ages and experience levels in the greater San Diego area. Team Puma has been introducing and developing the necessary skills, and cutting edge techniques that have been proven to elevate wrestler of all levels from Novice, High School, College, and even World Champions!

In Fresno, Team Puma was one of a small group of clubs that was allowed and encouraged to work with wrestlers of all levels/ages, from almost every school, including the Clovis School District.

Mission

Team Puma Wrestling is committed to the advancement of youth through physical and educational development.

Philosophy

Team Puma Wrestling was established in 2006 in Fresno, CA to bring together like-minded individuals with the goal of achieving excellence in the sport of wrestling. Team Puma Wrestling is a place for wrestlers of all ages to develop and expand their skill set as competitors on the local, regional, national, and international levels. We promote an environment that makes a positive difference in the lives of our athletes.

Team Puma Coaching Code of Conduct

Serve as positive role models to our wrestlers and hold themselves to the same high standards of conduct as we do ourselves.

Be an example to my athletes.
Use a positive coaching style.
Demonstrate patience in the practice room and at competitions.
Teach, coach, push and encourage.
Put winning in its proper perspective.
Promote a caring environment.

Health and Hygiene

Good sanitary practices such as showering immediately after practice, laundering practice clothes, cleaning wrestling shoes, maintaining good body hygiene, and ensuring mats are disinfected before and after practice go a long way to heading off any potential skin or infectious conditions. We take skin hygiene and mat safety very seriously.

Pricing Overview

2017 – 2018 Team Puma Pricing Options:

1 Wrestler: $90/month

2 Wrestlers: $135/month

3 Wrestlers: $160/month

All payments are setup via automatic payment from a credit card, debit card or bank account. Automatic payments will be charged every month based on the date of the initial enrollment. For example: Enroll on September 1st for $90, the next $90 payment will occur on October 1st…and every month thereafter until cancelled.

USA Wrestling Membership

Welcome to USA Wrestling's membership system. Here you will be able to purchase or renew your membership with USA Wrestling. The 2017-2018 Season Card Membership is valid from the date purchased through 8/31/2018.

SCWAY Wrestling Membership

You can register for a National Membership or a State membership through your NUWAY State organization. State memberships will allow you to compete in National NUWAY Competitions as well. The 2017-2017 Season Card Membership is valid from the date purchased through 8/31/2018.

I verify that my son/daughter is physically able to participate in the 2017-2018 season with Team Puma Wrestling. In case of an emergency, I release Team Puma Wrestling, its staff, USA Wrestling, and SCWAY from any and all liability from injuries while participating in the program. I understand there is no refund for registration or apparel fees if parent/guardian or athlete should cancel application or fail to participate. The wrestler participating with Team Puma Wrestling does so at his/her own risk. Neither Team Puma Wrestling, nor its staff, shall be held liable for any damages arising from personal injury sustained by an individual participating in the program at any practice or competition event. I understand that I will be required to obtain a USA Wrestling and/or a SCWAY membership at my own expense in order to participate in the 2017-2018 season with Team Puma Wrestling.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

To the best of my knowledge, I am not aware of any physical disability or health related reasons or problems which would preclude or restrict my participation in this activity. I am fully aware of the risks and hazards connected with wrestling and strength training, and hereby elect to voluntarily participate in said activity, knowing that the training may be hazardous to me and my property. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage, or personal injury, including death that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of being engaged in such an activity.

In consideration for my participation in the sport of wrestling, I hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Team Puma Wrestling, its administrators, directors, members, volunteers, employees, other participants, sponsors, owners, USA Wrestling, and SCWAY from any and all liability claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, while participating in such athletic activity. I agree to indemnify and old harmless Team Puma Wrestling and all affiliates mentioned above from any loss, liability, damage or costs, including court costs and attorneys’ fees that may be incurred, due to my participation in said activity.

It is my express intent that this Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement shall bind my family, if I am alive, and my heirs, assigns and personal representative, if I am deceased, and shall be deemed as a release, waiver, discharge, and covenant not to sue Team Puma Wrestling, its administrators, directors, members, volunteers, employees, other participants, sponsors, owners, lessee, USA Wrestling, or SCWAY. I hereby further agree that this Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of California.

In signing this release, I acknowledge and represent that I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and fully competent; Have read this agreement and fully understand its terms, understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it, have signed it freely and without any inducement or assurance of any nature, and I intend it to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by the laws of California. I also understand that Team Puma may use my picture, and/or any video for advertising purposes.
