Panhellenic Council Meeting

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:01pm.
READING OF NPC CREED
We, as Undergraduate Members of women’s fraternities, stand for good scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving, to the best of our ability, our college community. Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities.
We, as Fraternity Women, stand for service through the development of character inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through mutual respect and helpfulness, is the tenet by which we strive to live.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS REPORTS
Presidents: Hannah Scrivner ()
• Constitution/Bylaws
• Extension- Sigma Sigma Sigma will be on campus November 7th and 8th
• President’s roundtable will be scheduled soon

Vice Presidents: Megan Kirtland ()
• Greek Leads survey sent to chapter presidents - Fill it out if you haven’t already
Risk Management: Rachel Schluter ()
• Event registration forms for Homecoming (i.e. pomping, PTC practice, etc.)
• All Homecoming related activities must be alcohol free
Public Relations: Kaitlin Myers ()
• Social media for October
• Alumni newsletter (chapter updates)

Community & Internal Relations: Mandy Prather ()
• Thank you for the chapters turning in their reflection forms, I know there have been a lot of philanthropies lately!
Interfraternal Relations: Jessica Boesche ()
• Greek Week Committee and Chair applications deadline has been extended to this upcoming Friday
Recruitment: Nicole Reigel, Ellen Bergkamp, Olivia Pitt-Perez

Advisor’s Report: Jenni Jones ()
• PHC Officer Applications due this Friday, October 5th
• Facility & Finance Survey-Due October 1st
• Greek Affairs Liaison Meeting
• Dues Invoice for 2nd Billing November 15th-Payment Due December 7th
Old Business
• Voting - Proposed Recruitment Changes
• Proposed changes were discussed amongst chapter delegates and Panhellenic.
1) Change the recruitment budget to $1,400.
a) It was moved and seconded to vote for the proposed change #1.
b) 11 chapters voted in favor, one voted against.
c) The motion passed.
2) Switch house tours and sisterhood/philanthropy rounds during recruitment week.
a) It was moved and seconded to vote for the proposed change #2.
b) 5 chapters voted in favor, 7 voted against.
c) The motion did not pass.
3) Raise the minimum GPA for high school graduates from 2.75 to 3.0.
a) It was moved and seconded to table this proposed change until the next meeting.
4) Add a day to recruitment week, so we would have bid day on Saturday. House tours, round two, would be split into two days.
a) It was moved and seconded to vote for the 4th proposed change.
b) 12 chapters voted against the proposed change.
c) The proposed change did not pass.
5) Restrict all chapters from having new members spending the night on bid night.
a) It was moved and seconded to vote for the 5th proposed change.
b) 8 chapters voted in favor of the change, 4 voted against.
c) The motion passed.
New Business
· It was suggested that round 3, philanthropy/sisterhood day, be switched with round 2, house tours, and house tours be paired with sisterhood during recruitment.
· It was moved and seconded to accept this proposal.
· The proposal will be voted on at the next meeting.
