PAN LONDON HIV PREVENTION ENGAGEMENT EVENTS TUESDAY 12TH & WEDNESDAY 13TH JULY 2011
Public Health INWL are currently undertaking a rapid needs assessment of HIV Prevention (both primary and secondary, excluding disease progression) across London to inform future commissioning of HIV prevention services.
AIM
To gather insights and feedback from key stakeholders on the following questions:
- What prevention interventions work?
- How do you know they work and at what level (Pan-London, Sector, Borough or Neighbourhoods). What key outcomes to we need to incorporate in evaluating whether an intervention works?
- Given the responses from the above questions, which key interventions you would prioritise?
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The events are targeted at:
- Service users – Gay Men, African and African Caribbean communities
- HIV positive people
- Voluntary and Grassroots Community Sector organisations working with Gay Men, African and African Caribbean communities (in particular those providing HIV and other sexual health support services)
- Clinicians
- Commissioners
- HIV Prevention Intervention Providers – this includes current Pan London Providers as well as other London based Prevention Providers
