PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS

Crafts Master, Milliner- Alley Theatre, Houston, Texas

Responsible for all craft and millinery needs for an 11 show season in collaboration with the costume designers. Coordination and management of workload, outsourcing, ordering supplies and materials, maintenance of tools and equipment, supervising crafts over hire artisans. Areas of artistic expertise in, dying and fabric modification, distressing, masks, special effect harnesses and special effects, prosthetics and blood, shoe modification, jewelry, millinery, specialty headwear and headdresses, purses, leatherworking, belts and sword belts, fur repair and fur trim making. Duties have included, helping with events and displays, organization of costume stock and storage, presentations for tours and insider events.

November 1997 - April 1998

Departmental Manager - Bridal, Dresses, Furs and Petite Sportswear, Dresses, and Designer apparel: Masion Blanche Cortana, Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Responsible for approximately $1.1 million worth of inventory and management of 20 Associates. Facilitated customer relations, participated in planning store special events, sales and fashion shows. Executed of all facets of store operations including assisting in human resource needs and security.

Assistant Departmental Manager - Ladies Sportswear and designer sportswear

Responsible for departmental management of approximately $1.6 million worth of inventory

and management of 27 Associates. Assisted in store operations, opening and closing main computer system, and human resources duties; including administering associate correctives and developing associate policy education.

August 1996 - November 1997:

Visual Coordinator- Masion Blanche Acadiana Lafayette, Louisiana

Responsible for store-wide seasonal and promotional displays, fashion and house wear presentation and merchandising. Participated in department layout and design for store interior. Assisted with storewide events and occasional Christmas mascot performance as Mr. Bingle.

October 1995 - June 1996:

Sales Associate / Management Assistant- Nature’s Treasures/Sacred Ground Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Participated in ordering and pricing of merchandise, sales, store layout and display, and store operations.

Was responsible for the knowledge of aromatherapy essential oils, mineral properties and characteristics and semi-precious stones.
