Located at 10250 Arno Road is the former Arno School built circa 1890. It was the last one room schoolhouse built in Sacramento County and remained in use as a school until 1955. The building is rectangular in plan with two small one-story additions on the west and south. The school was originally oriented north-south with the main entrance at the location of the current chimney. The side gable roof is composition shingles with no eaves. The original portion of the building is covered with lapped wood siding and wood shingles on the gable ends. On the north elevation is a stepped shoulder exterior end chimney, with concrete steps at the base of the chimney marking the original entrance. The windows are 4/4 double hung wood windows with cylinder glass and decorative trim that features a drip molding. (See continuation sheet).
