EUREKA!! – Final details
This year Rosanna Cub Scouts will have a HUGE Pack Holiday. In the spirit of ‘EUREKA!’ and the Gold Rush, we’re travelling to Pax Hill Scout Camp, near the Eureka Stockade in Ballarat. We need some Miners to start our Gold Rush and find the gold buried there – and you’re our miners! Come along as we seek our fortune in the wilds of the Ballarat Goldfields – to have the best fun ever!

About it:We will be staying in the Pack Holiday Centre, comprising 3x 12 Bunk rooms, which will accommodate our Cubs in boys only/girls only rooms, plus separate male and female accommodation for Leaders and helpers. Also, Kitchen, dining room, toilet and shower facilities. The Scout Camp is in a bush setting with plenty of onsite activities for our Gold Miners to undertake!
Transport:We’re organising carpooling – parents willing to provide transport,
please advise your Akela by email.Need to finalise on Tuesday night.
Cost:$80 – includes transport, accommodation, food and activity equipment
Finalise payments at Cubs this week.
Leaders:Our Leaders will be attending, plus some volunteer parents.
Depart:Meet at the Scout Hall at 6pm, Fri 23rdNov–Full Uniform.
** NEED TO HAVE ALREADY HAD DINNER! ** (only supper provided)
Return:1:45 pm Sunday, 25thNov – depart from Pax Hill
3:15-3:30 pm arrive back at Scout Hall.
Take:DormitoryKit listis available on the paperwork/downloads page of our website. Dilly bags, plates & cutlery notneeded. If buying anything from Rays, say that you’re a member of Rosanna Scout Group and ask for our members discount.
NOTE:Our Miners can bring along an appropriate costume if they like, for Saturday night
AND, very old clothes for the Battle of the Eureka Stockade (flour fight)
AND large plastic bags for safe return of the clothes home!
FINALLY, the weather in Ballarat is often wet – please pay particular care to the need for waterproof rain gear.
Health Form:ALL ATTENDING MUST BRING A FILLED OUT HEALTH FORM ON FRIDAY – Including ADULTS attending!!!
