Welcome!

Our mission is to support the school community. Meetings are the first Tuesday of the month, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Principal’s Report

IB Internal Assessment for TOK, Extended Essays, Language A&B this week. English, Spanish & Chinese need to be completed by April 10th. Grades into IB by April 15th

IB Exams start right after April vacation

SATs on April 5thfor Sophomores & Juniors. Freshmen & Seniors do not report to school on that day

Three candidates are moving forward in the selection process for next year’s CIBA principal

CIBA will be getting 29 exchange students from Oct. 1st to the 8th, comprising of 24 girls and 5 boys. Looking for families to take in students, and those familiesthat do will have priority for the spring trip to Denmark (Copenhagen)

SAB Reports

Night of 1000 dinners last Wednesday evening. Not many donations were received (no entrance fee could be charged). Lots of good food donated

Spring Fling was cancelled due to no tickets being sold

Juniors to go on 2nd field trip to UCONN for extended essay research

March 16th – Mr. & Mrs. IB

March 17th – Alzheimer's dress-down day for a donation or shirt purchase

March 21st – Sports Night

March 24th–Abelon FUNdraiser. Receive a Bingo card for free, with extra cards for sale

March 31st – Leadership Conference. CIBA students only going on Friday. Cost is $65

April 1st – Interact Conference

April 1st – Walk for Haiti

Planning dress-down days and looking for sponsorships & donations (baskets, raffle items) for Abelon Walk, whichis on May 13th

Black History Month celebration is on March 10th. Looking for specific food donations

Committee Reports

Fundraising (Chairperson needed)

  • Savers Fundraiser: April 8th in the school parking lot. We will need volunteers to bring donations to Manchester Savers hopefully a truck and a few vans will do. Collections begin March 7- April 8th and store items in CIBA classroom? Need to publicize.

Items can be dropped off at school and stored in the basement

Flyer to be sent to Mr. Nystrom

Goal is 600 bags

CAS-worthy for students

Need parent/student volunteers to transport items from parking lot to Savers, or have a mini bus donation

Maybe have a pizza party for the class that brings in the most number of bags

Upcoming Events:

Spring Knockerball event. $10 per person. Looking to families for snack and water donations. Need to secure a field at EHHS
