NAVIANCE SUCCEED ASSESSMENT
2013
OBJECTIVE: This software was purchased by the Centennial School District to help provide you with a “personality type” interest and “career interest profiler” assessments to explore your interests, preferred learning style, careers, and possible college majors. You will be able to access this assessment from your home computer as well as your school computer. The information obtained will help you as you pursue future studies through your career-work education and experience. The total assessment process will take approximately 50 to 80 minutes depending upon the student.
DIRECTIONS: Please complete the assessments in the following manner:
1. Log on to your computer with your traditional username and password.
2. Go on the Internet.
3. To Access Naviance, use your web browser to go to:
http://connection.naviance.com/williamths
(Notice the periods in between. Be sure to use them when accessing the website.)
4. You have already been registered through the Guidance Department.
5. You MUST key in:
- For e-mail your SKYWARD Username
- For password your SKYWARD Password
- For example:
e-mail will be 15smitan (this is your username)
password will be your SKYWARD password***
6. Now click on Log in. This procedure will allow you to access your electronic portfolio at any time you wish to make use of the features offered through the NAVIANCE CONNECTION website.
7. You will see SIX tabs across the top of your screen. This includes HOME.
8. Click on the CAREERS tab.
9. Go to the “what are my interests?” assessment.
10. First, choose “personality type.” This is assessment number one for you to do.
11. Read the offerings and then click on START ASSESSMENT.
12. Take the assessment.
13. Let your teacher know when you have completed it.
14. Print out your results.
15. Second, choose “career interest profiler.” This is assessment number two for you to do.
16. Let your teacher know when you have completed it.
17. Print out your results.
18. Now look at the cluster finder so you can identify a top career cluster for yourself.
19. Should you have to exit BEFORE you complete the assessment, just log out.
20. You will be able to pick up where you left off when you return to the Naviance website.
**If you changed your SKYWARD password, you should change your Naviance one as well.
A little request from the School Counseling Office:
When the opportunity presents itself, please go on your profile and add your personal e-mail address. This will provide another means for your school counselor to contact you as needed.
