Ozark Dogs Walking Leads are hand made by and for the benefit of Ozark Dogs Rescue.
Each collar is individually handmade by Carol Sacher, founder of the Rescue, who has 50 years experience in the garment design industry.
The Ozark Dogs walking leads are a collar and leash combination. The collar slips over your dog’s head and the leash brings the rings to a comfortable closure. A ‘keeper’ on the leash slides down for proper comfort and security. They are made primarily for dogs ofmedium thru X-large size, especially those who tend to pull or can slip out of a regular collar, but are also available in small sizes for small dogs and puppy training.
The collars are fully lined with asoft terry cloth liningto ensure comfort and a non-slip feature. The inner base is 900lb test polypropylene webbing. The rectangular D-rings are strong, nickel-plated, welded steel. The collarsrange from 1 inch to 2 inches wide and come in a variety of unique outer fabric designs.
The lead is made of either ¾ inch or 1 inch (depending on collar size) heavy weight nylon webbing approximately 5 ½ ft long. The leadcomes with the collar as a single unit.
Measuring your dogs neck: Measure at the skinniest point of the neck, usually right under the chin,to determine the correct size. The collars are made with a size range, but please be accurate. A collar that is too large will not be useful. We will adjust from your measurement to make a collar that will fit correctly. The rings should not touch. There should be at least a 1/2'' space between them. The best fit is 1/2'' to 3 “ between them, but the larger the neck size, the larger the acceptable space.
The keeper needs to be snugged down to keep the collar from becoming too loose on a dog that may try to back out of it.
Ordering selection consists of (1) top fabric number (2) terrycloth color, (3) decoration (4) collar width (5) dogs neck measurement (6) special instructions.
Some fabrics are a stripe. Please note under special instructions if you want it to run Horizontal (parallel) or Vertical (perpendicular) on the collar.
Collars & leads are machine wash delicate and air dry. Using fabric softener is recommended. Do not bleach. Do not use high washer or dryer temperatures. All materials have been pre-rinsed & dryer dried so following these instructions will insure your collar remains in good condition.
