IMPORTANT UPDATE!
Hartest Primary SchoolSWIMMING POOL FUND
We were all so disappointed when our pool sadly closed last summer due to safety issues with the boiler but today, The FOHS are over the moon to announce
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to all concerned...

Overwhelmingly generous donations from some lovely village folk together with the successfulFOHS fundraising has raised the whopping £12,000we needed to enable the pool to reopenin time for Summer 2016! Woo Hoo!!!

This is an outstanding achievement and the FOHS would like to THANK every single one of you that has contributed in any way.
Because of our combined efforts
every child attending Hartest Primary School will learn a healthy respect for water from an early age with a qualified Swimming Teacher
HARTEST IS ONE OF THE FEW REMAINING PRIMARY SCHOOLS THAT HAS THE BENEFIT OF ITS OWN POOL. SWIMMING IS NOT ON THE SCHOOL CURRICULUM UNTIL YEAR 5 AND THEN MOST SCHOOLS HAVE TO BUS THEIR CHILDREN TO A PUBLIC POOL.WE ARE SO LUCKY THAT OUR CHILDREN HAVE A POOL ON SITE.
The FOHS are raising funds continually to improve our children’s educational experience and to pay for the ongoing and general upkeep of the swimming pool so please look out for details of ourforthcoming fundraisers, which will follow soon!
If you would like to join our team, please feel very welcome to pop along to our next meeting on Friday 22nd April in the Staff Room at 9am. We’d love to see you.

Please Note: For the terrifically fun After School Swimming Club to run this year, we still need 5 Life Saver volunteers.
If you are interested in volunteering you MUST be able to attend the Shallow Water Training on
WEDNESDAY MAY 25th 3.15pm – 6.45pm in the school hall (this includes being assessed in the pool)
and also,
The FOHS help organise the Hartest Village Fete whichnets us approx £3000 each year. This summer we are in desperate need of extra hands! Can you help at thishugely popular and fun event on Bank Holiday Monday 25th August? Being part of it leaves you feeling really satisfied and makes a tremendous difference to our school.
Lastly, WELL DONE and HUGE THANKSonce again to the friends and families of
Hartest Primary School for helping to SAVE OUR POOL!!!
From The Friends of Hartest School.
