Overall Feasibility Analysis 8 step checklist

Technical Feasibility (see B.O.M.):

Is the technology available in order to complete this project? YES. After review of the B.O.M. it is clear that the resources are available for our team in order to complete this project successfully. The only risk seen in the Technical side of feasibility is that some parts will have to be machined and not sent away for. This should not be an issue due to the experience of the team members but is seen as a risk.

Economic Feasibility (see cost analysis on B.O.M.):

Will this prove to be economically beneficial? YES. Using a cost analysis to look at the total cost of manufacturing, we can see that if the Pedal Power generator is listed at a price of , then the production of this product would be an economical benefit.

Financial Feasibility (see B.O.M.):

With the given budget can the project be completed successfully? YES. While looking at the B.O.M. it is clear that we are under budget by more then 400 dollars. In case there is a situation that comes up where more money is needed the group has access to more funds if needed.

Safety Feasibility (see needs assessment to see safety guidelines):

Is this item safe? YES. In order to accomplish this, the team has implemented a fire safe case that can withhold an inner explosion. All other electrical issues will be taken care of by the new grounding system that has been created for the stand of the iPod.

EnvironmentalFeasibility:

Is this an environmental friendly product? YES. This product will allow you to create your own energy and not rely on the energy provided. There are no toxins lifted into the air or any allergens caused by our energy source.

Market Feasibility:

Is the project marketable? YES. After research and speaking with local gyms it seems that nothing like this has been presented to them and in a hypothetical conversation with a manager at Gold’s Gym, this is a product that could be used in gyms all over the country.

Personnel Feasibility (see WBS):

Is their enough help provided or staffing on the project? YES. Although another EE would be helpful it seems that our team has a good balance between EE, ME, and IE. All aspects of the project are being covered and no person is in over their head.

Managerial Feasibility (see needs assessment and requirement list):

Do the superiors understand and agree with what the project objectives are? YES. The customer is momentarily satisfied. Other updates and meetings with the customer are set up to insure this product is what the customer wants.
