Over 86% occupancy to date for WETEX 2013

Preparations ongoing in full swing

Dubai, UAE; 11February, 2013: The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), under the umbrella of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE),announced that preparations for the 15th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2013), organisedin line with the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of DEWA, are ongoing in full swing, to further strengthen the sustainable future of the Emirate of Dubai.

Participation at WETEX has already reached 86%with nine strategic sponsors, 14 platinum sponsors, and 17 golden sponsors.

WETEX provides a unique business platform forenergy experts and specialists, solutions providers, investors, decision makers and consumers from public and private sectors to showcase innovative and state-of-the-art technologies in the field of water, energy and environment.

Some 32 countries will showcase their pavilions at WETEX including KSA, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, USA, Canada, Brazil, Anguilla Island, Uruguay, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Finland, Austria, Malta, Russia, Malaysia, Turkey, China, Taiwan, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Japan, Iran, and Lebanon.

The 15th WETEX will open new vital economic categories in the field of oil and gas technology, serving as a platform for specialists and experts from water, electricity, energy, and environmental technology sectors.

WETEX has strengthened its positionamong high-profile international organisations, promoting Dubai as a global hub for finance, business, and tourism.

The three-day event will highlight critical issues on the fact-paced growth and challenges in the water, electricity, and environment sectors. It will also explore solutions and best practices to face the environmental challenges.

WETEX will showcase a range of cutting-edge solutions and products, including agricultural equipment, desalination systems, modern systems of irrigation, water pumping equipment, boilers, cables, electrical transformers, connectors, energy saving products, pipes, valves, generators, electricity- and water-transmission and -distribution equipment, and other advanced products.
