“Summer’s Best”
Over 100 free concerts in your county parks…
This summer, your Milwaukee County Parks will host over 100 “free” concerts with genres that include Symphonic, Modern Jazz, Reggae, Latin, Blues, Pop, Swing, Cajun, Bluegrass, Gospel, Irish, Accoustic, Children’s Theater and Cover Style music at more than 18 County Parks.
There will be more concerts for more people at more parks to enhance the quality of lifefor residents of Milwaukee County and beyond. Special funding from the Cultural Artistic & Musical Programming Advisory Council (CAMPAC), in addition many local businesses and corporations, have made this series possible through their generous funding. Thanks to the efforts of County Executive Scott Walker, the County Supervisors, the non-profit partners of the parks (bid groups/associations) and the Park Friends Groups and the sponsorships of various corporations and businesses in the area.
The following is a list of parks that will be participating in this year’s “Summer Best” series. For the latest information of the venues, log onto countyparks.com. You’ll find updates of the concerts, descriptions of the bands, performance times, and a map showing where the celebrations will take place at a park near you.
