JOB DESCRIPTION

COMMUNITY AND EVENTS FUNDRAISER

RESPONSIBLE TO:Administrative Officer

RESPONSIBLE FOR:Community fundraising activities at Ouseburn Farm.

JOB PURPOSETo develop and implement a community and events fundraising plan for a community based registered charity. Ensuring the highest standard of support to participants, donors and volunteers.

To raise unrestricted funds of circa £25,000(minimum) in year one, for Ouseburn Farm Charity

MAIN DUTIES

  1. To devise, implement and develop a community and events fundraising plan which is designed to promote the activities of Ouseburn Farm as a training venue for vulnerable adults, an education centre and a free to enter visitor centre.
  2. To identify and develop opportunities for new fundraising initiatives.
  3. To develop and manage an annual programme of fundraising events.
  4. To develop and manage an individual giving programme, building long term relationships and offering support to all donors.
  5. To promote initiatives such as the Ouseburn Farm small lottery using a combination of resources, including, social media, the press, newsletters and networking events.
  6. To deliver presentations and attend meetings and networking opportunities as appropriate to increase and maximise fundraising opportunities.
  7. To recruit, support and develop community fundraising volunteers and support volunteers ensuring they receive the highest standard of supporter care at all times.
  8. To provide or facilitate fundraiser volunteer induction and training as required
  9. To lead on the development of best practice processes and tools relating to fundraising activities
  10. Design marketing materials for specific fundraising initiatives.
  11. Regularly review promotion of all activities to ensure new target markets are identified.
  12. To keep up to date with current trends in the fundraising market and charity sector.
  13. To achieve agreed targets and compile KPI reports on fundraising activities.
  14. To present written and verbal reports to Trustees meetings.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Annual Remuneration£12,286

Hours of Work20 hours per week (must be flexible to work evenings and weekends when required)

Annual leave136 hours including public holidays

Notice period4 weeks

All staff are employed subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.

Specific terms and conditions will be as stated in the Terms and Conditions of Employment document.

Supervision and support will be provided by the Administration Officer.

The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
