From April 2016 all NMC registrants must engage with their regulatory body revalidation process to enable them to renew their registration to remain on the NMC register. Revalidation is to improve public protection by making sure that clinicianscontinue to remain fit to practice throughout their career. Revalidation reinforcesthe duty on clinicians to maintain their fitness to practice within their scope ofpractice and incorporate their relevant professional codes of conduct in day to daypractice and personnel development (NMC 2015).Therefore PDR processoffers an ideal forum for reflective discussion, challenge and evidence for staffaround revalidation and an opportunity to obtain practice-related feedback
