Our Trip to the English-Speaking World

Duringthree weeks we will travel to the English-speaking world! You will, therefore,get the opportunity to plan your trip to an English-speaking country.

You will pretend that you are travelling around in ”your” country and during the journey you will keep a diary. In the diary you will write about:

-How to get there and how you get around

-Where you are staying

-What you are doing while you are there: famous museums, buildings, beaches, shopping?

- What kind of food do you eat?

- How the English language got there?

The diary will be your tool for when you write your travel article and when you tell your classmates about your journey. The presentation will take place on 11th March.

The Traveller’s Guide:

You will write an article that can be published in a traveller’s guide. The article should include: How to get there, what not to miss when you are there, classic sights, shopping, what you think about the destination,important information about the country and why is English used there?

Deadline for the article is Friday 7th of March. On Tuesday the 11thwe will have mini presentations in small groups where you get the chance to tell your classmates where you went and what you discovered.

Prepare two questions to ask you classmates when they present!

RULES:

•You need to keep a traveller’sdiary. The diary will help you since it will contain the material that you will base your article on.

•All the information/everything you have written stays in the classroom! Again, in case one of you is absent.

•You must have the article and the diary ready by week 7th March.

•Prepare minimum two questions to ask your classmates when they present their trip!
