IOWA IRISH FEST

The 2017 11th Annual Iowa Irish Fest will be a three-day event Friday, August 4th through Sunday August 6th, highlighting Irish culture and the Cedar Valley community. The Irish Fest is held in the heart of Downtown Waterloo, in the area of Lincoln Park including 4-6 street blocks of the area surrounding Lincoln Park. Over the past 10 years our event has drawn in well over 100,000 plus attendees from all over the world, with last year’s 2016 Fest being our largest to date!

Our SIX stages of entertainment have provided world-renowned Irish music acts such as:

- Gaelic Storm - Trinity Irish Dancers - Red Hot Chili Pipers - Killdares - Pogey - Derek Warfield & Young Wolfe Tones - Dublin City Ramblers - Screaming Orphans - Switchback - & many others

Vendors line 4th Street, Park Ave, Mulberry Street and extend into the park providing Irish clothing, jewelry, history, traditional Irish food and more. In addition to the great music and fun on stage, we provide other great activities such as:

-The Highland Games - Traditional Irish Music Workshops - Gaelic Language Workshops - Sunday Mass - Fine Arts - Rugby Tournament - Irish Stew Contest - Sheep Herding - Family Fun Area - Traditional Irish Dance Workshops - 5k Family ShamRock-N-Run - Photo Contest - Gary Kelley Artist Unveiling - Ancestry - Family Photo Opportunities - Whiskey Tasting

We strive to partner with local organizations, businesses, and corporate supporters to help promote and grow the Iowa Irish Fest, which reaches: Downtown, City, Cedar Valley, Black Hawk County and the State! It’s through sponsorship support and in-kind donations that we are able to utilize advertising mediums such as TV, radio, live satellites, digital & print signage, social networking, billboards, programs, inserts, flyers and print advertising.

The Cedar Valley Irish Cultural Association is a not for profit organization promoting Irish culture. Our continued success is dependent on sponsorship and support from our community. We are proud of the growth and popularity of the Iowa Irish Fest, and we are committed to its continued success!

Tournament Details:

  • 15’s with be two 20 minute halves; 7’s with be two 7 minute halves.
  • There will be a shuttle running from the fields to downtown for Iowa Irish Fest every 30min.
